Terry Anderson

Terry Anderson, Ph.D., has over 15 years' experience in various forms of learning, all of which have involved some aspect of Networked Learning.

Terry frequently speaks, offers workshops and writes about how to enhance education and training through the use of Networked Learning tools. As Assistant Director of Academic Technologies for Learning at the University of Alberta, he organizes professional development workshops for colleagues throughout the institution and assists them in designing courses for delivery by Networked Learning

A pioneer in this field, Terry developed the first "virtual conference" run on the Internet for the International Council fo Distance Education in 1992 and has since offered the same service to other national and international organizations

Margaret Haughey

Margaret Haughey, Ph.D., is a long-time proponent of the use of open learning technologies. From her first designs for independent inquiry materials for school students to her present involvement with graduate students on-line, she enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for teaching and learning.

Over the last 30 years, Margaret has been a course designer, instructor, media producer, administrator and evaluator of print, audio and videoconferencing, and now Networked Learning technologies.

A Professor in Education at the University of Alberta, she is involved in researching, developing and teaching Networked Learning courses.

Cindy A. Ives

Cindy Ives will finish up her PhD dissertation in educational technology at Concordia University in Montréal this summer. Beginning in September 2002 she will be teaching in the same program. Cindy is on leave from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, where she has worked since1988, holding a number of positions in university advancement and continuing and distance education. Before that, she was a marketing officer for the National Film Board of Canada in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Judith M. Roberts

Judy Roberts, president of Judy Roberts & Associates/Associés Inc., has over 20 years' experience using information and communications technologies in distance and open learning. Before founding her own company in 1990, she was senior founding staff member of networks in Newfoundland and Labrador and Ontario. Judy's national and international experience enables her to work with clients in the public and private sectors. She assists them in identifying how to use learning technoloiges to meet their needs through consulting services and workshops. Judy is editor of the Lifelong Learning on the Information Highway/L'apprentissage à vie sur l'inforoute Series.

Sharon E. Roy

Sharon Roy was an instructional designer and project coordinator in the Centre for Continuing Education at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, for five years before taking a similar position at Washington State University in 1998. She holds an M.A. from the University of Toronto and a B.A. from Laurentian. Her research interests include the dynamics of the new interactive technologies, the potential of the Internet as a tool for communication and information sharing, and the ways in which this medium impacts on our society. For two years she was involved in Laurentian's project in Southwest China funded by the Canadian International Development Agency as a Tier II project.
